Piper longum has been in widespread use for many centuries. Pippali is a powerful rejuvenating herb that strengthens and nourishes the body. It is is a close relative of the common table spice black pepper and retains the pungent and heating qualities of that spice. Pippali may stimulate a slow metabolism, burn natural toxins, and help maintain a healthy digestive environment. Pippali may also be an excellent tonic and support clear and comfortable breathing. It may also nourish the blood, promote healthy circulation, and support a healthy liver.
