Ayurvedic view on Bal (Sida cordifolia). Bala, also known as bal, means "strength". The part used is the root. Sida cordifoilia roots are bitter in taste, odourless and greyish-yellow in color. Bala herb pacifies all three body energies but is most effective in balancing the vata dosha.
