Rauwolfia serpentina is a species of flower in the milkweed family Apocynaceae.  It is native to the Indian subcontinent and East Asia.  The plant is a perennial undershrub widely distributed in India in the sub-Himalayan regions up to 1,000 meters.

Rauwolfia serpentina may be helpful lowering high blood pressure, dilating the blood vessels and lowering the heart rate.

Rauwolfia serpentina can help balance the doshas of Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

Take one teaspoon twice daily with room temperature water or as otherwise directed by your healthcare practitioner.
