DESCRIPTION

Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides or Chrysopogon zizanioides) is a perennial grass native to India and is widely used in Ayurveda, aromatherapy, and cosmetic formulations for its cooling, grounding, and calming effects. Known in Sanskrit as "Ushira," vetiver is especially valued for its Pitta-pacifying properties, making it ideal for summer heat, inflammatory conditions, and stress.
